A lot of Llynfi valley homes are terraces, and for most of them a combi is the right answer. There is no cylinder taking up a cupboard and no tank in the loft, and hot water comes on demand. In a terrace the flue route is usually out of the back wall, and we check the clearances before we price it.
If there is still a back boiler behind the fire in your front room, replacing it means taking the fire and boiler out, finding the new boiler a home with a good flue route, and repiping. It is the biggest change of the lot and usually takes two days, and it is priced in writing before you book. People tend to like getting the chimney breast back.
Every modern boiler has a condensate pipe, and if it runs outside in a cold spot it can freeze and stop the boiler. On a valley install we run it inside wherever we can, and where it has to go out, it is sized and lagged properly.

Where we work
Our base is in Pencoed, by junction 35 of the M4. Bridgend county comes first. From there we head east to Pontyclun, south into the Vale for Cowbridge and Llantwit Major, and west to Neath and Port Talbot.
