Close to the coast, walls take more wind. Where the flue comes out matters: we keep to the manufacturer's clearances from windows, doors and boundaries, and check the plume will not blow back at the house or into a neighbour's garden. If the old flue spot is not right for a modern boiler, you hear it before you book.
From the cottages in the old town to the newer streets around Boverton and St Athan, the job varies. Newer homes usually have a combi already and get a like-for-like swap in a day. Older homes are more likely to have a cylinder, tanks or awkward pipe runs, and that is all priced up front.
Some homes around Llantwit are off the gas main. We install, service and repair LPG boilers, and we are now registered to work on oil boilers. Every oil or LPG job begins with a site visit and a price before we start.

Baxi 800
Our most fitted
Built in Preston and compact enough for a kitchen cupboard. It is the boiler we put in most often across South Wales, and the one we see back least.
British built
Made in Hull with an easy-service layout, so the yearly visit is quick and the running costs stay sensible. Copes well where the water is hard.
Quietest
German engineering in the smallest case of the four, with the lowest noise. The one to pick when the boiler lives in a bedroom or a flat.
Most hot water
A stainless-steel heat exchanger and the strongest hot water flow we fit. Made for bigger houses where two showers run at once.
